After researching a series of contributing factors, I have generated some integral and interesting findings. I believe that indie titles are on the rise and this is clearly backed up by my research to date. Not only have indie titles earnt a more profound portion of the games industry sales market, but triple A producers have actually began to adapt and borrow certain traits and techniques from the idie market.
In conclusion to this section of my research it is evident that innovation, industry backed funding schemes, digital distribution and mobile/portable platforms have all played their part in the rise of indie games in their own way.
I must now move on to other areas of research in order to uncover more valuable findings to contribute towards my report.
